Daniel Barnes @ the SN&R/CSIndy/SA Current/MCW

index*Almost shockingly unfunny, the moldy, let’s-be-hikers nature comedy A Walk in the Woods hits a succession of depressingly expected notes, right down to the pouring-out-the-booze-on-the-mountainside-because-you-don’t-need-it-anymore-because-hiking moment.

*My A Walk in the Woods review also ran in this week’s issue of the Monterey County Weekly.

*In the 2015 SN&R Fall Movie Preview, me and Jim Lane pick our Five Most Anticipated Films of the Season, as well as our Top Five Films of the Year to Date.

*My portions of the Fall Movie Preview also ran in this week’s San Antonio Current, as well as this week’s Colorado Springs Independent.

*The vivid but strangely uninvolving adventure documentary Meru contains some thrilling mountain climbing sequences, but never offers any substantial insight into the climber mind.
